I had a chance to play Lost Ruins of Arnak again recently, and it was my first time playing with any of the expansion content. It definitely elevated the game! I’ve always been a fan, but the character abilities took it to another level!

Grateful to have a chance to get together with this group and play one of my favorite games! TI4 is such an interesting, cinematic experience where the game happens above the table just as much as it happens on the table. Definitely not a game that everyone will enjoy but if you’ve ever been interested in trying it, I highly recommend it! It’s worth the effort!

The Druids of Edora feels like a return to form for Stefan Feld. Don’t get me wrong, I love his more complex games as well. This game feels like an old-school, mid-weight Feld though, with its simple actions and difficult decisions. Definitely worth a play for all my fellow Feld fans!

The Hobbit: There and Back Again is a neat roll-and-write from Dr. Knizia and published by Office Dog Games. It has some very charming artwork, and the production quality on the adventure books is quite good! I can’t wait to try other scenarios to see what changes!

Timber Town from alleycatgames was one of the games I was looking forward to seeing at Gen Con. The tile-laying feels very reminiscent of other games, but the river drafting mechanism adds some unique challenges that I found really enjoyable!

It’s been a long time since we’ve played Rise of Augustus from Hurrican Edition, but it’s a classic. It’s one of the first games I played by Paolo Mori, and I’ve been a fan ever since. It’s an easy-to-teach bingo-style game that’s great for introducing to new players!

It’s been a long time since we’ve played Rise of Augustus from Hurrican Edition, but it’s a classic. It’s one of the first games I played by Paolo Mori, and I’ve been a fan ever since. It’s an easy-to-teach bingo-style game that’s great for introducing to new players!
